Engineering Infrastructure Project Manager | Apply Online
CEI is seeking a talented individual to be our Client’s Engineering Infrastructure Project Manager. In this role, you’ll manage programs or multiple ongoing projects related to the development and implementation of systems and processes for engineering development environments. Management of programs will be moderately to highly complex in scope.In this role, you will lead initiatives with appropriate guidance set by the Senior Engineering Operations Manager, and you’ll establish close collaboration with the client engineering groups and the IT organization.Responsibilities include the following:
- Oversee all stages of complex functional project(s)/program(s) related to the design, development, testing, and implementation of information technology systems required to enable engineering development environments.
- Coordination the work of appropriate engineering and IT staff to resolve issues.
Define the project objectives, goals, and scope. - Responsible for assembling project teams, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing a schedule to ensure timely completion of activities.
- Responsible for all risk management (whether it be technology related or resource/schedule related) pertaining to the project and propose mitigation schemes to resolve the same.
- Interfaces with all areas affected by the program or project, including end users, computer services, and client services.
- Defines program scope and objectives based on requirements.
- Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resources plans, and status reports.
- Develop and present appropriate reports summarizing technical analysis, findings, and recommendations.
- Responsible for budget of project(s)/program(s) managed.
- Assist with proposal evaluations, contract negotiations, and manage assigned contracts.
- Lead project reviews and team meetings.
- Documentation writing and mid-expert level system and/or network engineering.
- Strong interpersonal skills with strategic planning, leadership, decision-making, logistical, analytical, & organizational capabilities
- Ability to multi-task, communicate across various levels, motivate team(s), assume responsibility, and instill trust and integrity.
- Previous experience (3-5 years) as an Infrastructure Solutions Architect (Windows/Unix/Citrix/VMWare/HA, SAN/NAS) would be an added advantage.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field
